David Leeming
Hello all. I am British but have been based in Solomon Islands since 1996, initially as a VSO teacher in remote schools but since 1999 with a focus on ICTD. I am mostly working on donor projects focusing on rural communityaccess and e-inclusion but also have my own private company here. I amcurrently working on a multi-sector provincial networking and early-stage e-government project for SPC/SIG. I have been a Board member for 2 years, as membership officer. I'd be happy to continue in that role, and to help buildPICISOC's role regarding the promising inroads that the IGF process has madeon building a more inclusive environment for ICT development, especially with increased participation from the "grassroots".

Visions about PICISOC
If re-elected to the board I would like to work towards these goals;
1. Continue to encourage more interaction between members in different island states and sharing important information.
2. Continue to encourage the formation of country based ICT groups in each country so that they can have effective contributions towards internet and ICT developments in their respective nations.
3. Encourage more participation in international events/organizations like ICANN, IGF, APNIC etc..
4. Continue to encourage closer working relationships between regional and international organizations and PICISOC.
