BACKGROUND

The Nadi – Ba Corridor pan sharpened QUICKBIRD images have a pixel resolution of 60 cm. The images came in geo- referenced, but have an average shift of eighteen meters. This could not be used for 1:5,000 mapping. A survey of reference image points (RIPs) was carried out in the Nadi Ba Corridor to rectify this shift.

Coverage of the pan sharpened QUICKBIRD image data in the Nadi- Ba corridor with an average shift of 18 meters. The green symbol shows the original position of the image while the red symbol shows the recorded GPS position.
