Candidates may be nominated to run for a position on the PICISOC discussion list (picisoc at picisoc dot org) and the nominated candidate must then accept this nomination and update the Elections 2007 page on the PICISOC website Elections 2007 with a brief bio and their statement for the elections. A candidate may also self-nominate.
There are 7 positions available and based on past procedures, nominations are to each position. These positions are:
1. Chair
2. Vice-Chair?
3. Secretary
4. Treasurer
5. Board Member # 1
6. Board Member # 2
7. Board Member # 3
The closing date for candidate nominations (and acceptance) is 19 March 2007 1159 GMT.
The election period will run from 23 March 2007 through to 1159 29 March 2007 GMT.
Eligible candidates and voters are as per ISOC's Pacific Islands Chapter Membership database as at 21 February 2007, and these are subscribed to the PICISOC Members-announce list.
The election process will be supervised by InternetNZ, and we thank them for their continuing support.
Instructions on voting will be sent to all eligible voters prior to the start of the voting period.
The term for the Current PICISOC Board Members concludes end-March 2007.
