Polling is now closed in the 2007 PICISOC elections.
The voting papers were sent out at Thu Mar 22 06:51:59 NZST 2007. A total of 407 ballots were distributed.
34 votes in total were received at the address set aside for voting.
I matched email addresses and names for the votes received to the membership list that was provided to me. There were several cases where votes came from a different email address than the one on the list. I allowed the vote if it was clear to me that the person was a valid voter (such as an email address of nickw@domainname instead of nick@domainname, or a real name identifiable in the headers and the same as one on the voting list)
No votes were rejected as duplicate votes.
3 votes were rejected as invalid.
Voting for one position for one vote was ignored due to the choice of too many candidates for the position.
Not all voters voted for all 7 positions.
The list of persons, in alphabetical order, who voted are at the end of this mail. All e-votes received will not be passed to anyone and will be deleted.
The rules state that non-contested seats must receive 50% +1 votes
Contested seats are by simple majority.

Secretary: Aliitasi Uesele ELECTED with 20 votes (66.7% of valid votes cast for the position) - Alisi Tuqa received 10 votes (33.3% of valid votes cast for the position)
